Elberfeld Elementary School is located in the northwestern corner of Warrick County in Southern Indiana.

A BRIEF HISTORY...

logoThe 52,000 square foot building, erected in 1994, is equipped with a full-size gymnasium with a beautiful hardwood floor, a fully equipped kitchen with a dining area for students, a large library with a vaulted ceiling and digital check-out/cataloging system, two computer labs with thirty computer stations, a beautifully decorated outdoor reading garden, and a large playground with swings, climbing toys, a tennis court, basketball courts, and an asphalt track.

Throughout the school year, students stay busy with competitive sports. Fifth graders compete in volleyball and basketball. Fourth and fifth graders compete in track. Upper grade girls may join the Stingers Pep Squad. Go, Hornets!

There are many activities for Elberfeld students. They serve as student council representatives, class officers, safety patrol and flag patrol. Students can also participate in the spelling bee, and Accelerated Reader.

The Elberfeld Parents-Teachers-Students Association (EPTS) is very active at the school and around the community. They coordinate the "Brain Food for ISTEP" each year, aide in holiday parties, plan an end of the year field day for the entire school, and much more.

A few of the tools used to increase student achievement are DIBELS, MClass Math, Acuity, and Response to Intervention (RTI). In this small school setting, teachers build close relationships with the students. Students are treated as individuals and with the respect they deserve.

Elberfeld Elementary has many celebrations throughout the year. Students are awarded for academic accomplishments,  Accelerated Reader, Honor Roll, Principal's Honor Roll, Student of the Month, and also for their many smaller daily successes.

Elberfeld Elementary School is eager to serve the needs of its students and the community well into the future.

We are proud to be a Warrick County Elementary School!
